Current Projects:
HIV/AIDS services- We provide free HIV rapid testing, sex education counseling and materials, PrEP program information, referral services: to HIV/AIDS treatment and managing centers, behavior health, case management, dental, and OB/GYN.
Youth Initiative- ‘Nothing for us without us’ is the rallying proclamation of many social justice movements including the TRCP’s newly established Youth Initiative. Through the Youth Initiative, TRCP is dedicated to addressing the intersection between HIV and social/racial/gender justice issues through a series of youth led activities to be implemented over the next 12 months. This project will train and support youth (13 to 21 years) who reside in St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist Parishes to be leaders and have interpersonal conversations with other youth. Leaders will shape the content of conversations and organize fun interactive activities to give youth in the River Parishes something to do and something to look forward to. Through the Youth Initiative, TRCP leaders aim to reach at least 300 peers and strive to make an impact on their neighborhoods.
